Mike McMann has just recorded and mixed his new CD schedualed for release this fall. It is a mix of hard drivin Bluegrass, melodic ballads ,and beautiful guitar music. It was recorded at Eide road recording studios in Aryle NY, and features longtime menbers of mikes band with caMeo appearences by Brian Melick(percussion) and Doug Moody (fiddle). Mike McMann, one of the finest guitar players to hail from New York's capital region, is a versatile musician who has been a regular on local stages for over 25 years. A veteran of classic rock, alternative rock, bluegrass, acoustic and jam band circles, Mike has played in such bands as Euphoria, the Tropical Hotdogs and the Kenny Gwyn Band. He plays in duos with Kim Buckley, Rob Bealieu, Kenny Homan, Rick Lipe and Mike Cassels. In recent years, the Mike McMann Band has been blowing away skiers at resorts in Vermont and Massachussettes with classic rock and originals. Craig Silva of the Billiard Sanctuary in the Mount Snow valley has said the Mike McMann Band is "the best band in the valley, hands down." As host of Troy's only monthly bluegrass jam, Mike can sit down and play with somebody he's never met before and audiences think they are hearing a well rehearsed presentation. A review in Metroland once referred to him as "... ace guitarist Mike McMann [who] pulled tastefull fills, clever solos and impeccable tone out of his strat."

His upcoming CD highlights yet another area where he shines - the mostly instrumental, mostly acoustic album bursts with a pristine, clean sound reminiscent of the streams and ponds that have inspired it.

Mike Cassels (Bass) is a well known veteran of the regional music scene and an emerging presence on the national music scene having played with guitar legend Dan Toler, formerly of the Allman Brothers Band. Regionally, Mike has played with the Mike McMann Band, Killer B, The Groove Syndicate, Larry Lewis & Solid Smoke, Joe Roy Jackson Band, Loader (Raisinhead), Jocamo, Blues Alley, and Buddhashake.

Allan Onderchain (Drums)

Jeff Prescott (Drums) has played in bands such as Rhule Road, Good Foot, The Electric City Horns, Mother Ship and Fore Front. Jeff spends the majority of his time working as a manufacturing technician, playing music and eating. Drums are the center piece of Jeff's life but he enjoys playing the guitar and singing. n his spare time, Jeff enjoys shooting his rifle and WWII video games. He is also an avid health freak who indulges in daily meals consisting of Maruchan's best flavors. He often says "there's nothing like a cup of sodium for lunch".

Michael David Palma (Electric Bass & Vocals)
When it comes to bassists, Mike takes a back seat to no one! His talent for incorporating many different style rhythm motifs and variations into a tune accentuates his fluid and smooth style. He gives the listener something to "latch onto" and go with the flow! He provides a solid bottom line that makes it easy for people to dance. An alumnus of Berklee College of Music (’72), Mike has played with a wide array of top notch performers. Mike has performed with: Yusef Lateef, Roland Kirk, Thelonius Monk, Junior Walker, Arthur Prysock, Billy Colwell, Andy McGhee, Lenny Johnson, Rory Block, Randy Loren, Brian Prout of Diamond Rio, and many more. He has also performed locally with many different bands. They include: Sam & the Chessmen, Stone Coach, East West Blues Band, Country, Savage Grace, Foxfire, Jon Norman & Paula Sydney, Dick Spass & Company, Emergency, Click, Cathedral, The Rocco Brothers, RD-5, Fossil Rock, The Best Bet Band, Mojo Lightning, Crossfire-CFX, Nucleus Jazz Ensemble, and most recently with Mike McMann. Mike loves his music, and he loves to make people feel good when they hear him play. His unique style of playing and the way he fits in with his fellow performing musicians provide for a very pleasurable experience!
